BBS Rims will they rub on my Ralliart

Hi guys, I have the chance to get the BBS rims from an MR model and I would like to know if they will rub against my fenders? I think the guy said they are 18 1/2

I'd love to replace my stocks but I do not want rubbing or a lost of handling/performance

thanks!!!

The size of the BBS wheels (assuming from the X) ias 18x8.5 +38 offset. Not sure what the Ralliarts can use, but just wanted to make sure you had the full specs. They usually run 245/40x18 tires.

you know... there's a stickie in this very subforum that covers this information. It's not like you even had to use the "search" function...

I have the MR BBS wheels on my stock RA for about 2 months now, with 225/45/18 Hankook V12 and so far no rubbing on the rears. No worries on the fronts. (the heaviest my car has been loaded up is myself 185Lb, 3 passengers at about 160lb each, to give you an idea). Grip with the Hankook's is great, especially in the rain.
I'll post a pic of my setup if i get a chance.

thanks for the feedback. I was hoping for real world replies. Good
to know they're working for the same setup.

I knew there was a sticky but I really needed a quick answer before
I saw the rims. This was completely last minute.

Now I need to see their price and cost of restoration of curb rash, if
I purchase them.

I had a deep rash on one rim on the lip and fixed it myself. Really easy. I used the PERMATEX WHEEL RESTORATION KIT from Walmart and was really easy. The paint that it comes with is quite close to the MR BBS wheel color too.

They will fit just fine, but you will need a very light roll of the rear fenders. Basically just flatten the tab on the inside of the rear fenders. Very simple.

Hmm not sure how to do that. Is there a thread explaining that?
I would only be doing stock bbs and stock tires from MR

thanks

I wouldn't try to do it yourself. It is simple to learn, but if you want a perfect job have a shop do it. Shouldn't be too expensive, just have to find a place.

thanks, I'm going to talk to a wheel restore place local to me. They
will install and mount the rims. I can ask them about it.

thanks, the wheel deal fell through. I didn't want to pay them what
they are asking. Then add on the crub rash repair. Too much. I will
need to keep my eyes peeled for another set.

I do not want to roll my fenders so I will probably go with the 225's
that GTE28 is using.

Now, I had the opposite result with my wife's ralliart Sportback. It rubbed on stock ride height in the rears with the EVO X BBS's on 225s. This happened with four guys sitting in the car. A slight roll in the rears and it never happened again.
