Question Replaced TPMS _ Can I Re-Synch It?

Womp Waaaah. The TPMS stem broke, tire flat, I cried...

So, $100 later, I have a new TPMS and the warning for 'TPMS sensor No Workee'.

Can I 'learn it' to the car myself? I.e. 'turn key on/off 8 times, sacrifice a goat, and say this chant'...?

Let me know - Thanks!

If you have access to a scan tool probably, I'd have to look at my Verus. I don't think it's as easy as GMs though.

Any shop should be able to ping it. But why did you buy a whole new sensor. Same thing happened to me, and I replaced the stem only....

if it's a whole new sensor you will need to have Mitsubishi dealer reprogram the new code. Like others said you should get a scan tool, to write down all your codes, in the future you can order a cloned one or just the stem if that's all that broke off.

I can confirm this. MyersTireSupply carries the sense.it sensors and programming tool. When I went with summer/winter tires I got a set with the programmer. If you buy a sensor I'd be happy to recode it to match your dead unit.

All good info - thanks!

I will make an appointment with Eagle Tire (nearby) they can do it as well.

(I am smarter for next time, eh?)

Veronica, Eagle probably can't re-code your car. Mitsubishi placed the logic for the TPMS system on a separate CAN bus and you need the MUT to change the coding for the car. At least, a year ago that was the case when I shopped around.

Sens It brand is the only brand that works with our cars. I got a cloned set for my winter wheels from NGS here on EVOM If they are using this brand you'll be fine

Do you have the broken sensor? If you do send me a picture of the back of it. I can get you a programmed sensor and a valve for $69 shipped to you.
