Wondering if EVO X intercooler is as good as aftermarket for gains in HP/TQ?

From what I've heard the bigger the better. I'm getting the Evo X stock intercooler for momentary use for this turbo swap. But after that I'm upgrading to a custom one with a Garrett Core.

Even if the X's is not better than Aftermarket, it will make a difference in the Ralliart; the RA is a puny little thing compared to the Evo's IC

Not sure if this is bad form...and, if so... I apologize...

But, I have my Evo X OEM Intercooler and Piping for sale... I was told by the Service Manager at my dealership that it was a direct bolt-on for RA's, and that there was considerable demand for them because of it...

PM me if you're interested!

I asked TY yesterday from AMS, he says stock Evo X front mount does NOT fit Ralliart. Since all current aftermarket Evo X Piping kits do NOT fit the Ralliart either.

EVO X Front FITS.... just the core tho....the pipes will not fit... but if you want it can be done... it just need a little trimming and hose, some more clamps, some glue... homedepot pipe... zipties.... and your stock engine cover wont fit... LMAO but for the evo x FMIC there is some tweaking done to make it fit well but it fits!!!! i have installed it on my buddy's RA... myself imma gonna wait for a bigger FMIC

How much tweaking are we talking? So, it's not a direct bolt on?

That's good to know! We don't recommend over 2.5" piping unless you are pushing around 750whp, then 3.0" piping you will see a benefit.

I think he was referring to the tweaking of the intercooler piping, the intercooler it self should be a direct replacement. I remember a RA customer installing our Anodized black unit on the vehicle with no fitment problems.

Thanks!

Michael

So, the EVO X FMIC will directly bolt on with no mods?

Straight fit no tweaking required? FMIC fits the RA mounts?
