No rev limiter

short and simple..while driving in sports mode yesterday, I was in 5th, then I wanted to downshift to 3rd, so I did, and when I did I could accel. past 6k. I ended up shifting at 8k since it seemed the car kinda gltiched and didnt shift automatically.

The needle didnt bounce or anything, the rev just kept going..

i have had the same happened to my car... its like it just wanna keep on going.... espsecially when its in sports mode auto and drop in to 3rd... but does your car shift hard at the RPM?? when it happened to me it was like 6k 7k 7.5k almost 8k and bang 4th.. 7k 7.5k almost 8k bang 5th and so on... it doesnt feel like it was shifting hard but i mean i can feel the shift... now i know there is a fuel cut and throttle cut at some point... but i mean when it shifts i feel the power go to the next gear... i have also done it in sports mode manual tooo...

anyone else?? have had this happened?

Rev limit will not affect mechanical over-rev.
