will a high flow cat pass inspection?

I might be moving soon, and right now i have a test pipe which obviously won't pass state inspection. I'm looking to either get a high flow cat if that passes, or buying someones stock cat just to get the car inspected. anyone know any info on this stuff?

A test pipe will pass emissions. It just won't pass visual inspections. Here in New Jersey OBD2 cars don't get pipe checked. Just computer check and visual.

I thought Florida doesn' t even have inspection. Also, I believe older cars aren't even getting their NOx read anymore too. So even obd1 and old cars don't even need cats for inspection.

I've passed on all of them. Test pipe, Hi flow, and stock cat.

Fl sounds like a great place for cars, except the street racing take your car and liscense deal, but that really isn't an issue anyways

if the high flow cat is visible, than yes youl pass inspection(depending on if your throwing a cel or not)

my advice, keep the testpipe, buy a cat(whichevers cheaper) get inspected and throw the test pipe back on

yeah...........and that is where your problem is.

never git rid of stock parts on a car this new.

get a U.R. high flow cat ( i have one) it is going to flow enough for any one who has not done any "serious" mods to their RA.

it will pass a sniff test .

just make sure the car is nice and hot before the test.

....take that cat to a decent machine shop.

i am sure that bung can be "repaired"...........

..........for A LOT less money than a new/replacement cat would cost.
