So what do u think? do you feel a differance? I saw that is just plug n play. I watched a video on youtube and was worried that it would send the SST into limp mode cuz of the RPMs.

Since Amby brought it up. I would recommend using the sprint booster. half our club has tried it and about 80 to 90% of everyone including myself thinks it works great to increase the responsiveness in throttle control. As amby said it has nothing to do with power train performance. it only modifies the single between your foot(throttle control) to the ECU throttle input data. Its great. But I will admit its very hard to explain to someone what the feeling is like.

Relating this to the post at hand. The blitz control is a good idea s well if you want a variable setup. But if you try the sprint booster I would go for it if you have a SST version since I have driven the SST EVO X as well as my lancer. And it feels great. (sprint booster I am refering too) The 5 speed is tuned completely different, instead of there being more sensitivity in the middle of the pedal for the Auto tranny, the lower end of the throttle becomes more sensitive for the manual trannny.

Something I am not sure the Blitz controller has.

Cheers

I believe the throttle controller would give you the feeling of tightening the slack a throttle cable.

I remember back in day with my integra gsr. The throttle wire/cable on the throttle body had slack. So I tighten it up so that I could rev the engine just by pulling the wire.

I think the throttle controller is equivalent to this. Just that its electrically tighten up the response.

It allows you to hit full-throttle faster. If people think it's worth spending money for that, go for it.

I found at low speeds it doesn't lag as much and I was using less fuel. It also brings back the power feeling at 3000 rpm, I had gotten used to the car driving it for six months now and was missing the sucking into seat feeling when the car reached 3000rpms but the TBC has brought it back.

Yes I understand what it does. Just wanted to know if it is worth spending the $400 on it. I know it doesn't add hp. But if it improves throtle responce than that adds performance. Not all performance is hp based.

It has no affect on performance, there isn't a performance category you can test where a throttle controller will make a noticeable difference. Even the makers of the products say this.

Yes There is! Better thortle responce = better 0-60, 0-100, which = better 1/4 mi. every little bit counts. even on a course when ur coming out of a turn. And what about performance parts: tires, suspension, interior and exerior. it all contributes to the performance of the vehicle.
Performance= Operation. Functioning. Process or manner of functioning or operating.

No, this won't happen, as I said, even the makers of these products fully admit that it will have no affect on 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, etc. Why? Because full throttle is full throttle. Unless it takes you seconds to reach full throttle normally, it won't do a damn thing.
Taken directly from one product's website

• Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower.

• Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times.

• Sprint Booster DOES make your car 'FEEL' faster.

• Sprint Booster is not for everyone.
It's like a pushup bra, it makes it look like the girl has big ***** but she actually doesn't.
