23,000 miles and need new trans
So i was able to bring in my Ralliart into with the dealer for my service engine light being on.... they did a scan and found that 5th and 6th gear were locking up. After 2 days of the mitsu engineers goin over the printouts and the statements from me. They decided to send new trans out. Hopefully this cures the
problem.
problem.

I'm really interested to see the life expectancy on these trannys (in particular, the clutch plates). I'm guessing that the longevity will fall somewhere between a manual and an automatic transmission, but if replacing the clutch plates becomes as easy as it is for a manual, I'll be happy. Replacement and rebuilding of the transmission itself will hopefully drop in the future too.

Easy? Read this, i think its on the 4th page where he takes out the clutches. Remember they are inside the transmission not outside. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mi...roduction.html
LOL no one said it was the best transmission ever and that it would never have issues. There is no perfect machinery everyone knows that.

Right now, very few people will even touch these transmissions. In the future, I hope there are options other than the Stealerships. That's what I meant by easy.

They actually have mitsu engineers diagnosing problems at the dealership?
