Sorry about that. I just did the math myself. After tune, he was hitting 259, which was a 38 whp gain.

Peak to peak gains is a narrow sighted analysis however, Area under the curve and peak gains are in the 55whp-60whp range near redline.

Are these same kind of gains (namely the lower rpm torque gains) attainable if I do an email flash without custom dyno tuning? My only part currently is a Buschur catback.

Thanks for the answer. Can you PM me with the steps I need to follow to purchase the email flash, or should I go directly through your website?

Would there be any issues doing a tune on a Canadian RA? Do US/Canadian RA ECUs differ at all?

As far as I know, they are the same. I'm wondering if there is a difference because of the metric conversion.

Haha, that would be unfortunate. Reason I ask is this post by a regular Canadian Lancer driver complaining about getting it Turbo'd and "it will require either the replacement of the ECU ... or a reflash". I don't see why drastically changing your engine's performance with a turbo wouldn't require a tune. But a new ECU? That made me go

I cant see why the ecu would be different. There are various rom IDs that cause specific memory address to differ. Analog voltage inputs from various sensors, and hex values in the ecu would be the same where ever you are.

Oh, I see. If you are asking whether the ECU must be replaced when you upgrade the turbo, the answer is no. If that were the case, I couldn't see turbo manufacturers being able to sell their turbos unless they came in a kit that included the necessary ECU.
