See if it occurs with a bit less throttle at first, but with steady throttle through the actual shift.
I experience this on my v2.5 basemap tuned as well. Shifts are wayyyy crisper with heavy throttle and very lazy with a light foot - its making me go WOT more often to avoid it haha

Exactly - and I'm pretty happy with that. After all, you have just two things that tell this semi-auto-manual thing how you expect it to behave - the throttle and the mode switch. In an ideal world, the mode switch would be more than a "binary" selector. Evo X guys, no gloating. The variations in shift speed in your chosen mode really come down to throttle application. With light or reducing throttle, the box takes its time shifting. WOT, it's quicker.

In 2.6, Bryan's focusing on getting the overall balance "right". Normal vs. Sport, light vs. heavy throttle, etc. Being a general release base map, it's obviously a tricky balancing act. It's got to balance up right on cars with different clutch wear, different age SST fluid... and different driving styles, of course.

So get yer 2.6.2 feedback in, beta-test guinea pigs!

Been running 2.6.2 for the past couple of days. So far I'm loving it, best Basemap I've loaded to the car. The throttle response is excellent, doesn't feel like a Honda Civic anymore. The shifting is crisp and instant in Sport mode, and comfortable yet quick in Normal mode, both in Manual and Auto. No abnormal shifting up or down.

Kudos to Bryan! Can't wait to see the official release.

Quick question - When "reflashing" with a new map do i flash over the exisiting (2.5) map or repeat the original steps and "read from ECU" then "Write to ECU"? I will trying the new V2.6 map tomorrow morning!

Just "Write to ECU" using the new map.

You only need to "Read from ECU" if you want to transfer a copy of the live ECU to a stored file on your laptop. Seeing as you know exactly the ROM image that's being run now, you don't need to grab it from the car.

Thanx alot for the feed back its fixed now.

I uninstalled ecuflash and the tactrix drivers... I then reinstalled ecuflash opened it up and connected my tactrix.

My computer the found the new hardware installed the drivers and the bottom right corner of ecuflash changed from "no vehicle interface" to OBDII port ready.

Just flashed my 09RA with the stock pill baseman and what a difference I will be changing the pill tomorrow and reflashing. I also did some logs 3rd and 4th pulls and 0 knock sum

Also special thanx to Bryan as I am in Winnipeg Canada and the nearest tuner is min 8-9 hour drive state side donation coming soon

In the past i have been "reading from the ECU" then "writing to the ECU" everytime i load a new map. Is this wrong?

I will take your advice and only "write to the ecu".

Yes and it is off topic to this thread, please check the stickies at the top of the forums or post a new thread asking for help if you don't find your answer via search or one of the stickies... this thread is far too long for me to keep cleaning out the off topic stuff and it's only getting longer.

Hi Bryan,

More feedback? Just that your last release really nailed it. I've been on it 6 days now, commuting and cruising in manual mode, NORMAL & SPORT. No sign of that odd delayed downshift "bug" at all. Much better off the line, and great throttle response in all situations. Twin-clutch action is just right in both NORMAL and SPORT modes.

With 2.6.2, everything gels... it makes the car a real joy to drive.

IMHO, for manual mode, this base map is right on the money.

As for auto mode.... pfft. Horrible slush-box emulator. Needs a rewrite!

In 2.6.1: I slung a bucket of live squid in my trunk after a particularly jolting shift on the beach, whence it was decided to try 2.6.2.

2.6.2: Richard nails the description.

Anyone have a commercial ozone machine?

Hmm... I noticed yesterday that when I run in Sport mode at WOT, I continue to get the "slipping" feeling when it shifts. I'm going to try and flash back to 2.5 and reset the ECU, have it re-learn shifting and see what happens. I only have 6k miles on the car... I'm praying I'm not having a clutch issue.
