I have a custom dyno-tune that I've been running for a couple years now, and I've had ZERO problems with it, but now I'm wondering if the new V2.7 basemap would be an even better option for me to use. What do you think Bryan/Rich about which would be the right choice for the best overall driving experience, performance, and long term reliability?

I'd say not - leave it with the custom tune.

However, I've recently released RAX Patch for Ralliart ROMs. Go take a look at that stuff, and consider applying the IAT Adjusted BWGDC to your custom ROM. That will moderate your boost control solenoid's duty cycle in cold weather.

If you do this, just apply that one patch. The other two RAX Patch items are a bit more complex, and need to align with other parts of the tune. But the above BWGDC is fine in isolation.

Rich

PS. To anyone else curious... yes, you can apply "RAX Patch" XML extensions to your EcuFlash and "see" the RAX Patch stuff in your v27 Base Maps. The final v27 release uses the current RAX Patch version. There's lots of technical doco in the download too... if you like that sort of thing!

No idea! Never driven an MR. I should buy one, for comparison purposes. Muah-ha-ha-haaa...

Really glad you lot are finding the SST all super-smooth and responsive now with the final v27. I've been eagerly awaiting the feedback on that! Everything feels perfectly balanced now. Yee har....

I need to get on the ball with buying a DP and HFC so I can take advantage of the TBE version, gotta get gauges and a wideband sensor first. Ugh... money.

Launch Control and S-Sport is in the TCU.

So to get them you either have to:

1. Swap to a MR TCU
2. Reflash your TCU with MR ROM

Currently, you can only do #1.

Did this original question get answered? Im running a UR DP and HFC but stock catback for now. I know its safest to run the stock exhaust map but just wanted to see.

Do you also have a Evo 10 or upgraded FMIC?

So has it been proven that you can simply swap the RA TCU for the MR TCU and the RA's ECU won't have any issues with it? Super Sport mode would be pure sex on this car...

Thanks man, I don't think I can get rid of her even if I truly wanted too!

It has been proven you can swap the transmissions and it works just fine with the RA ECU.

Just the TCU is currently unknown.
