think im gonna hold off on doing this tune til this upshift issue is resolved. Im out of warranty now and these transmissions arent cheap to play games with.

These last few days, I've acted in response to an apparent correlation between people reporting a funny upshift and people with 2011 ROMs. Waded in, tore apart the 2011 stuff, compared to 2009/2010 style, came up with a plan.
But no, there's nothing on my radar to for 2009/2010 ROMs at all. And if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Bear in mind, if one particular vehicle's SST has tired transmisison fluid or atypical clutch wear (or any other mysterious dual-clutch foibles), ramping up the tuned torque isn't going to do it any favours.
Of course, if you're not comfortable with the possible consequences of increasing torque (and heat, drivetrain load, and everything else that goes with it), it's totally your call as to whether to proceed with a reflash... be it a free base map, a dyno tune, an e-tune, whatever.
Hanging back and waiting for others to test stuff is also a perfectly sane plan.

Nothing I'm aware of, no. I'm driving an '09, and the SST behaves itself perfectly. Evey upshift and downshift is a beautiful thing.

Hi Rich,
Just to confirm your correlation, I am running the 2.7 2011 91 Octane Boost Pill Flash and I have a little bit of lag between 1st and 2nd gear. I have a 3" magnaflow catback exhaust and noticed the shifts revved slightly higher after putting the new exhaust on (after running 2.7 for a couple days). Let me know if you need further details.

Sucks I'm 100% stock right now and missing out on all this logging fun. Let's hope you get it figured out in the next month, because that is when I will be going back to non stock. I also plan to put on each piece one at a time and log, then compare all the differences from stock to tbe with boost pill.

Re: Rev-hang between 1st and 2nd gear reported for 2011 Ralliarts using v27.017
Our two brave testers have come back with some initial results. Thanks, kpelite137 and OverCorrupt for trialling the revised v27 for 2011 ROMs!
Both guys reported that the 1st->2nd upshift behaviour is much improved by the "fix" applied to the special v27 versions I sent to them directly.
So from where I'm sitting, it definitely looks like this was an issue specific to the 2011 v27 ROMs only. And it looks to be fixed.
It would be brilliant if we can just get one or two more people verifying a tidy drive on this proposed new version of v27 2011 ROM. To that end...
Attached are two BOOSTPILL 2011 ROMs containing the winning revision. I repeat, this revision is aimed at tidying up a reported "rev hang" issue seen when shifting from 1st to 2nd at WOT on 2011 flashes of v27.
Note 1: These carry the filename suffix "v27.018" to differentiate them from the ones currently up on the first thread post (v27.017).
Note 2: If you require the 91oct tune, please choose your ROM carefully - make sure you get the right one.
Note 3: Saying it again, these are BOOSTPILL tune ROMs.
To folks like AMT (who has 2011), if you want to test anything, test the attached! No special logging required - you'll know if it's smooth and well behaved.
Once we're happy, the first-post "official" ROMs will be updated to match. I'll probably swing by and delete the attached files once they are redundant.
Thanks all.

I tried the 2.7 93 stock pill map and experienced the same thing that others have mentioned. I was running Cobb's Stage 1 map up to this point without issue. The 1>2 or even 2>3 shift was delayed and I had the rev-hang/clutch slipping. Any clue as to why the 2011's are behaving differently? It almost seems like the SST is overcompensating for something due to increased power. Stock shifts perfect, Cobb's 91 map virtually perfect, but Cobb's 93 map has a little bit of glitching going on. Not very scientific, but it seems there's a correlation between power output and the SST being able to correctly apply that power to the wheels.

hey rich if u have a stock pill ill test for you if youd like, but on a second note i went back to my stock rom for the oil change this weekend and ive noticed that i can still hear my turbo and the shifts are kinda hanging is there any thing that flashing the v2.7 may leave in the rom if i flash back to stock?
