My EVO X MR was tuned by Dynoflash back in the day before ECUflash was available and all we had was ECUtec.

My EVO VIII RS was initially tuned by Dave Buschur, but I can't leave $hit alone and tweaked the hell out of it... I gained about 3 more mpg on E-85 over the dyno tune he provided... no slight to him, he was tuning to run good on the street (it did) and for max power (great power)... I just tweaked the hell out of the map for better MPG and turned on the O2 sensor feedback under all load conditions for smoothing under different weather conditions, as well as a lot of fine tuning on the start up maps for cold weather conditions on E-85. Once again, no slight on Dave, he tuned the car in warm weather and I was the first car he ever tuned on E-85, so he had no experience with the hard starting problems of E-85 in low temperatures. I tweaked the whole tune to suite myself, but I don't claim to have made any more power than Dave did with his initial tune... just better MPG

My Ralliart is currently running a 91 octane base tune from GST, and like I said, I can't keep my hands out of the cookie jar! I have adjusted the rev limits is all so far, but as of now my wide band O2 sensor and boost gauge have arrived, and I will finish installation Sunday morning. I will probably start tweaking the fuel and timing maps even though I will be tuning by eyeball on gauge rather than by data logging since mode23 logging still doesn't work on the 2010 Ralliarts.... I will just make minor changes for now while logging knock with the generic EVOX logging in Evoscan and monitoring my gauges.

Keith

PS: I don't see anyone making claims of any kind in the Drag Forums.... you just trying to stir the pot???

Thanks. One more thing... if i flash the ecu back to stock before getting any warranty work done, then i should be ok right? Or do the Mitsu techs have a way of knowing if the ecu has been flash by someone else? thanks, i greatly appreciate any response on this.

No Prob. From what i've been told very few dealers have the new technology to know if something has been changed but most of them dont, a Mitsu rep even reassured me of this last night so you should be fine.

I want too!

Am I going to have to become a developer to get mode23 logging? I suck at things like that

Thumbs up

This Basemap sounds great! I am definitely planning on getting the Tatrix cable so I can try out the Basemap on my Ralliart, it will be a great first upgrade!

Since this Basemap was tuned for areas that are at or near sea level, would there be any concerns for higher elevations with this tune?

Where I live, I am around 4200-4500 ft above sea level.

Hey Bryan,

Thanks to acamus in the ECUflash forums I am now able to log RPM, Load, Boost, ignition timing, and knock sum! I just need to get a serial cable to attach my wide band too and I will be set and ready to log on 93 octane, with many bolt on's for you.

I do now! For a while there I was getting frustrated. Worst thing to do is get a rep as a whinny little Biach, so I didn't want to ask two many times for help.... but nobody was stepping up and I was thinking I was SOL! Just glad someone knowledgeable finally stepped up and helped me out.

Now I have another question. The AEM gauge I have is a new addition to their product line and there are no instructions for attaching it to a serial cable for logging. I already know that the majority of gauges are connected + signal to pin 2 and ground to pin 5. My system lists the wires as positive signal and - signal, not ground.... so I am not sure if they would be connected to the same pins as other AEM products. I have asked on the AEM forums as well as here. Hope to get an answer soon. I know that in less than 24 hours I will say "screw it" and hook it up that way to see if it works.... just hoping for confirmation that this is the correct pinout before hand

Keith
