I have the AMS pill - quite a number of people do. Just log your boost levels, etc. after applying the base map...

...which you would be doing anyway, of course!

I have the ultimate racing boost pill. It works fine and is only 15$. This is also confirmed by boost logging.

New "Balance #16" Beta ROMs (SST tune)

Hi folks.

Time to let the latest SST tuning work out to play.
Like this...

SST Beta Test ROMs - Balance #16

That's a grab-bag of all the various ROM flavours I've been working with. These have a revised SST tune, built on top of the current release version of the v27 base maps.

Things I'd really like to hear about are:
  1. Whether we've tamed the weird clunky jerk that was occurring when coasting to a stop in 2nd, and the SST goes back into 1st.
  2. Whether the "progressively more firm" feel as you drive harder is "right". If you drive all gentle, it should be gentle right back.
  3. Odd/Even Clutch Slip logging at WOT. How well does it put the torque to the wheels once the trans is well warmed up? Don't thrash it after just 5-10 minutes driving, okay?

For those who have been running "Balance #15", the ONLY change from that ROM to this one has been in "throttle-off" table areas. This is specifically aimed at (1) above. No other changes made.

Let's see how these go!

Special thanks to all the "Works" and "Balance" series beta testers - you know who you are!

Wow rich is killing it with these updates. And sorry I've been busy so haven't gotten a chance to test out the latest releases. I'm still stuck on balance 2. I'll test #16 out today on my way to work and get back to you.

And slightly unrelated, but is the AEM intake worth the money when combined with this tune? I already have a test pipe and catback. From what I read a few pages ago.... Someone said he only saw a 1-2 whp gain after installing it.

Even if it doesn't promise high gains, atleast it finished off my engine bay. Looks uber oem minus the fat aem logo. I will post pics when I make time. 9 months of continous nuclear power prototype training isn't as fun as they made it sound 3 years ago..

The 2009 ADM/EDM ROM is 53610010.
The 2010 ADM/EDM ROM is 53610013.

So the "2010" ROM is nothing more than a later revision of the same base ROM. I'm tempted to recommend to Bryan that the 53610010 ROM gets dropped from the base map downloads - people can simply install 53610013 for "both" years.

So if you want, you can grab the "2009 AUS" beta and flash that. But if you're uncomfortable doing that, I can add a 2010 ROM version to the zip...

I'll be fine with a 2009 flash. Just didn't think it was compatible. Cheers mate!!!

If I hadn't hacked the bejeebus out of my own 0010 ROM, I'd have switched to 0013 by now.

The general rule of thumb is... if the first four digits match, it's compatible/interchangeable. Haven't heard of any exceptions to this "rule". Yet...

Might be a noob question.

2009_RA_AUS_EDM_BaseMap_BoostPILL_98ron_V27.017_ba lance_16 rom in IFMode 0x05 -> 0x23 #1 says its hex 38. According to your Ralliart (AUS) ECU Stuff For Dummies it should be 23 for logging. Am I wrong somewhere?

logcfg vs evoscan 2.9 question

BIG thread jump but definitely applies here. Is there a logcfg hidden away in evoscan? They added SST tables for logging slippage but I would rather log with my tactrix to avoid the whole conversation of:

Officer: What's the laptop for, son?
Me: Logging 3rd gear pulls, sir.
Officer: Step out of the car and put your face on the trunk!

If anyone could "easy button" this for a 41 year old, non-programming, NOOB it would be soooo greatly appreciated. I'll name my next pet, most likely a cat, after you.
