2009 Lancer Ralliart - GST Basemap
#5116
- Identifying which tables were used by the ECU to calculate "Requested Torque" style values in different situations.
- Working out how "Requested Torque" prompted the SST to reduce or induce clutch slip. Interestingly, quite a few tables deliberately induced clutch slip.
- Looking through many different ECU ROM images, particularly Evo X images, to see how X ECU SST-related tables different from the factory-detuned Ralliart equivalents.
- Finding ways to modify and blend the GST Base Map tables to promote higher SST hydraulic clutch pressure where appropriate.
The hardest part was actually trying to minimise unpleasant side-effects, and to do so across the different RA markets, manufacturing years, etc. There was a period during the development of the latest version where a large community effort took experimental base maps, tested them, gave feedback, then moved on to the next version. This iterative testing really helped to smooth things out.
Cheers,
Rich

Thank You!
Multiple approaches, and a great deal of testing! For the "v3" base maps, it boiled down to:

Bit of feedback which might help a few,
I’ve tuned a few JDM and NZDM Ralliarts, and seen a few people online searching for definitions for them to no avail.
Used mine as a guinea pig first, test wrote then over-wrote the existing ROM with the EDM/AUDM maps and went from there.
Zero issues at all, works a treat.
Rich you might be able to point me at something unrelated - my own car (with s-sport) does a thing now and then which I can only describe as clutching in coming up to low speed corners. Say 3rd or 4th, 1500-2000rpm roundabout, it disengages just like a manual driver pushing the clutch in. Never misses a beat otherwise, just an odd behaviour I can’t always repeat. I’m sure it’ll be a table I’ve messed with but can’t figure which and how to undo it 🤦♂️ I’ve messed with a few things from base so can’t be 100%

The actual links in the post are correct but it's something evom is doing to them that broke them.
Here is the root link to all of the basemaps for your pleasure: http://norcalmotorsports.org/users/b...emaps/V31.003/

I have a 2011 RA here with 56940014 ROM, is there any need to worry about loss of factory enhanced tables when switching to 56940007 GST? Or are there any plans to perhaps port GST to 13 or 14 version of that ROM? (I can provide a copy of 14 if needed, its same locations as 13)
Edit: 14 version mapping/logging solved in another thread, and not necessary to use 14 it seems if using GST basemaps.

But "93 oct"? The AUS/EDM one was tagged as "98 RON", as that's how our fuel is specced.
Sounds like you might be after "2010_RA_AUS_EDM_BaseMap_BoostPILL_TBE_AEM_98ron_V 31.003"...

That 2009 AUS/EDM ROM ID was something like 53610010. We didn't bother making untold combinations of that, as the 2010 "53610013" ROM ID was perfectly suitable instead.

MARKETS x FUEL TYPES x MANUFACTURING YEARS x BOOST CONTROL x EXHAUST TYPES x INTAKE TYPES
By the time we got to v31.003 of this project, it covered something like 50 different ROM images!
