I'm assuming he means the flash for the ACD to prevent the ACD pump from burning up in cold weather.

 

Is this a recall or something you would have to bring up? When I bought my car a little over a month ago they said there were not any open recalls for my RA.

 

It's not a "recall", it's actually considered a TSB(Technical Service Bulletin).

 

Its for cold weather regions. I believe Kansas is a part of. If you search for ACD pump failure, I think you will find a thread with the actual TSB bulletin.

 

I will know more infornmation Next week. What i do know is this was issues as of September 6th 2010. (recall) That being said it's fairly new. I will update as soon as i know.

 

So they will only fix if your having problems? Can you request the upgrade to be done, paid by them.

 

I didn't see the other responses when I replied. I will call my local (3 hours away) dealer and see what they say. We do have bad winters.

 

I was just at the Mitsu Dealership yesterday(September 22nd) and they said it's a TSB and not a recall and they won't fix it unless there's an active warning light on my dashboard. Other dealerships out there may be more willing to do it for some of you guys though, so if you ask around and press them hard enough I bet you'll be able to get them to do it for you even without a warning light.

Pretty much, but I went to my dealership and told them to DO IT! LOL

The sad thing is they knew nothing about any of the TSB's until I brought a piece of paper with every TSB I could find for our car. I just flat out told them that I want those items checked and done if needed.

 

I would try PSI-target boost control maps if they were for a 2009 RA

I've got an 09 CADM Ralliart.

 

I have been running the 91 oct - GST Boost Pill Upgrade - V2 - PSI-Target Boost Control map for about a week. I wish I could help with the logging but I am having issues with EvoScan. I was able to do a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear run while logging boost. Boost peaked at 22.04 and tapered down to 18.38. Overall the car appears to be running great. I am hoping to get EvoScan working correctly this weekend.

 

Thanks for the info on the TSB. Maybe I just need to tell my dealership to just do it too lol.

I would be up for trying the GST map for a 2009 as long as I couldn't damage anything.

 

i definitly would its gets colder then a witches tit in alberta during the winter... but i'm runnin an AP... lol if you made an AP map for said tuen i'd be all over it
