Now the question is, since they bolt up the same and only have 6 wires (if I had to take a stab, I would say they are 12v+, 5v+, ground, and 3 can bus) going into the trans, will an MR trans work in a Ralliart?
Those transmission limits are at the flywheel, not the wheels.... you are probably pushing at least 350 lb/ft of torque at the flywheel, perhaps even more!

Another possibility, is the TCU opening the clutches when it gets pissed off about how much power you are making, or are the clutch packs physically unable to hold the torque? If option 1 there will eventually be a software fix, if option 2 Shep has the cure! In either case, I would rather see you pushing the realm of TC-SST limits than see you do a 5 speed swap. One of the reasons I am loving AMS is they own a TC-SST equipped vehicle!

I'd love to put an MR trans in it if we could find one reasonably.

i know this is going to sound dumb, but how could it be a direct swap since we don't have a clutch pedal and i'm guessing there's a lot more than that needed...

Eric was referring to the MR swap. He explained what would be needed for the 5 spd swap on page 1.

Have you modded your Octane Blue Ralliart?

I'd wait on any hardware changes for a little bit.

Something will be of light soon.

RA Glows, just an AMS base flash, AMS boost pill, and drop in HKS filter so far.

The tuner I went to didn't put the boost pill in because he said I was making too much torque and wheel horse power with it on and the transmission was slipping. I'm making 252whp and 265wtq with an AMS intake and UR turboback and the tune was done on a dynojet. Doesn't this seem kind of low? You guy made out about 50whp with just a flash.

That would sound about right without the pill.

what would it be at with the pill?

I'm at 253whp/267wtq with the ams boost pill, hks drop in, and tuned by English Racing on their dynojet.

Peter, the other car listed has a TBE so I am thinking its about a fair trade between more boost or better exhaust. I would think high 200s with both though.
