TC-SST tweaked?

Ok a base flash gets the RA around 235whp. Add the AMS intake and you get about 250whp. UR turboback should get at least +10whp so shouldn't I be at like
260 at least.
I don't understand why he could put the boost pill in????? Everyone else is having no problems with it.

Using the boost pill, and actually tuning the wastegate maps he could reduce mid range boost, and thus reduce the torque spike while increasing boost in the upper RPM's for more top end power. But setting all that up takes time on the dyno (or road tuning) if you have never done it before.... the second time it is easy cheesy.

We made over 300 ftlb and 278 wheel hp with a car. The trans was slipping.(owner complained about going over 300ftlb)
I opted to turn the boost down( removed the boost pill as we made target boost without it), as I did not like the slippage.
Boost tables are no problem, we have done alot of these evox/ralliart setups.

With the Wastegate duty cycle map set to all zero's, and the ECU prevented from adding wastegate percentage to reach target load, the forge wastage actuator gives the following curve:
1500 RPM 1.4 psi
2000 RPM 5.1 psi
2500 RPM 13.8 psi At 2700 RPM 18.3 psi wastegate starts to crack open
3000 RPM 17.6 psi
3500 RPM 19.4 psi
4000 RPM 21.1 psi At 4400 RPM reached peak boost of 22.3 psi
4500 RPM 21.9 psi
5000 RPM 21.6 psi
5500 RPM 20.0 psi
6000 RPM 17.6 psi
With my setup I am going 100% wastegate duty at low RPM to aid spoolup, ramping down in the mid range to limit mid range torque, and then ramping back up to maintain boost as much as possible in the upper RPM's I have the following results:
1500 RPM 1.4 psi
2000 RPM 5.3 psi
2500 RPM 16.3 psi
3000 RPM 23.6 psi
3500 RPM 25.5 psi
4000 RPM 25.4 psi
4500 RPM 25.4 psi
5000 RPM 24.9 psi
5500 RPM 23.1 psi
6000 RPM 20.4 psi
These boost levels are only seen on a long pull through 4th gear from below 1500 RPM up to 6000 RPM.... Can't go above 6200 RPM in 4th or I will travel back in time (or risk a large fine)
Lower boost levels are seen on a run through the gears as described in my thread about setting my new personal best 1/4 mile time in the Ralliart if you want to see that data.

I would be interested to see the timing and fuel used to avoid knock running that much boost with the stock turbo. I have done some experimenting of my own and have found that running the turbo that hard does not seem to provide the most power. All this from the butt dyno of course. You running 93 octane I guess?

I have it set up this way because I seldom (other than when tuning) do pulls from low RPM to redline in 4th gear. On a run through the gears at the drag strip, or just ripping it up on the street (not street racing... just "spirited" driving) boost peaks at a lower 23.5 or under in gears 1,2,3, and 4 right where I want it. But in order to get those boost pressures on a run through the gears a long slow pull from low RPM will peak a bit higher than I like. I actually expect my higher than optimum boost to hurt performance on the dyno next week... but it is optimized for drag strip performance. In fact, all of my "over 4800 RPM" tuning will be based on data logs taken during a run through the gears rather than from data logs of a single gear pull. Below 4800 RPM tuning will be based on a long pull up to 5000 RPM... no reason to strain the system at high boost high RPM when it isn't necessary

I saw somebody saying that they tuned the car in normal mode instead of sport. And weren't having the big issues with the TC-SST slipping. Not a pro just repeating what I read. The thread was close because of arguing.

There was a thread open not to long ago with a guy who had SSP installing the clutch pack upgrade kit on his ralliart. This car was suppose to be their test mule. What ever happened to him?
I'd love to see AMS make a clutch pack setup for the EVO X/RA.

I thought it was the MR. Maybe they had a RA too. It wouldn't be too hard to find out, though. Just check with Kris from SSP.
Either way, I'm going to wait to see what software patches are available. Especially since it will be a little while before I can make the jump to the EVO turbo.

Sorry it is an MR but still I'm wondering if they have had any sucess with this.
