TC-SST tweaked?
Ok i created this thread......https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...2.html......in the X forum about the 2010 MR's SST being tweaked to achieve .5 second drop in 1/4 mile. R&T times 13.7-13.2. My question is if this is possible for us as well. I kno Mitsu wants us to stay in 14 second range stock for now, which is fine but if the MR's tranny can receive a flash we should too. It is essentially the same besides the gear set and S-Sport Mode. This is where we need the tuner shops to come in....AMS,TTP,GST u guys are up. If i could offer my car as a test dummy i would but it is my DD. I kno some ppl here have two cars so please take one for the team, you will be doin the community some good.

According to a very smart guy from Australia that came by the shop, the torque ratings for the MR trans is higher than the Ralliart. I'm not sure why that is just yet, there could be internal differences, or it could just be programming of clamp load/rate of the clutches.
Your link doesn't work, can you try to repost it?

Thanx for the heads up about the link. I see the evidence of the torque rating on the MR being higher through various threads and that does raise some questions about ours. I personally think that it is just the programming rather than internal hardware differentiating the two. But it could be both. IMO i don't think that it would be financially smart to develop two totally different SST's, different programming would be a better option or maybe i'm jus wishfully thinking
The article did state that the SST was sent through software reprogramming. So maybe we can see something like this being done in the future for us to achieve better performance.

From what I've been reading, the torque rating for the transmission is somewhere between 500 and 600 n/m (360-440 lb/ft), though I haven't seen anything official. If that is true, just a software patch should be all that is needed unless someone wants to make some huge power on their RA.

Our Red equipped car is making no where near 370 ft lbs and the trans is starting to slip in just about every gear. It lasted for a while, but it seems to be on its last leg. I would have to say that the torque capacity of the Ralliart trans is definitely lower than the MR.
Now the question is, since they bolt up the same and only have 6 wires (if I had to take a stab, I would say they are 12v+, 5v+, ground, and 3 can bus) going into the trans, will an MR trans work in a Ralliart?

Glad u updated us on the tranny, i was gonna ask about it. Is it still at 300 or did u increase it a bit?

My car is stock and every since I got the reflash for the active diff thing, it seems like my car slips in 4th at the higher revs (or maybe it is just falling on its face).
The motor revs hard all the way through 4th but 1/2 the time, it stops pulling around 5K.
Just seems weak 1/2 the time. I hope my tranny is not slipping
Almost feels like "knock" retardation in my Galant VR4.
I only use Shell 93 from the same station
