How small is the stock Ralliart turbo?

In comparison to past mitsubishi turbocharged cars, how small is the stock Ralliart turbo?

3000GT . . . . . . . . . . . . 13g turbo's
1G DSM auto tranny . . . 13b? Something like that.. smaller than 14b
1G DSM 5 speed . . . . . . 14b
2G DSM . . . . . . . . . . . . t25
2003 EVO VIII . . . . . . . TD05HR-16G6-9.8T Big 16G with twin scroll 9.8 exhaust housing
Newer EVO VIII . . . . . . TD05HR-16G6-10.5T Big 16G with twin scroll 10.5 exhaust housing
EVO IX . . . . . . . . . . . . . different compressor housing, otherwise same as VIII
EVO X . . . . . . . . . . . . . TD05H-152G6-12T. Smaller compressor than VIII and IX, but larger exhaust housing than either one.

So, what do we have in the Ralliart, and how does it compare in size to previous generations of mitsubishi turbochargers?

Keith

TD04HL-15T-7 {aust. spec.} should be same....Boost pressure@ 3000/ 68-122....W/gate act. pres. {kpa} 78-82 @ approx. 1mm stroke. This might help....Ross.

Here's a picture that WORKS took when they were comparing the two turbos.
The left is the RA turbo and manifold, the right is the Evo's:

::inserts comment about how the size of the turbo isn't important, but how much boost your running with that small turbo::

Ok ok... turbo size matters ::sigh::

Not to get off topic too much, but to me, turbos look like steampunk snails.

Hmm it is small. Keep in mind that small turbo gets us away from the line quicker... but 4 seconds later we are screwed.

No it doesn't. Twin-scroll is a wonderful thing.

+1 on the twin scroll. You'll be surprised how fast the Evo's turbo spool up.

So you are saying the EVO turbo spools up just as fast as ours because it is twin-scroll?

AMS has dyno sheets comparing the stock turbo and an EVO X turbo on their shop Ralliart. The boost threshold is virtually the same, with the same boost curve until the stock Ralliart turbo starts to drop off. I don't know how the transient response is between shifts... but with the TC SST we don't really have to worry about that anyway
