Where did you get this? Is this illustration saying that the stock IC actually cools the air better by almost 4 degrees?

it says that the greddy cools more efficiently, by about 4%

Thank you for clearing that up. Most intercoolers are between $600-as much as you want to pay but for the money what type of efficiency or improvement would you expect from thest best intercooler? Is 4% typical?

i wonder how efficient is the Evo X IC .. thats what most ppl are going for anyway ...

It looks like the Greddy intercooler is about 1.8x the volume of the RA intercooler. For comparison, the X intercooler has slightly over 2x the volume of the RA intercooler. I'm not sure how the X intercooler compares to the Greddy in terms of efficiency, but in terms of price, the X IC is well worth it.

You know what, as a follow up to this thread, I went ahead and bought an EVO X IC anyways. I should have custom pipes coming with couplers for the new IC soon too. I have revised my plan somewhat since my first look at things.
