Good luck with your future repairs.
Yeah ok!!!!! Do you really know what compressor surge sounds like? It is a common mistake that fluttering is compressor surge. Compressor surge sounds like a ticking sound coming from the turbo.

Esentially your car came with a plumb back BPV that was made silent to meet EPA standards. If you replace it with an aftermarket version that is louder due to its construction then you get the noises that are there anyway just not audible with factory parts.

It says ID hose not included... What does that mean?

Also for the base adaptor.. I think the base adaptor is included in the SSQV I purchased from Ultimate Racing.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks
Yep those parts are fine. I think the hose they're saying does not come with the part is the recirc hose that is already on the car.

i have one with the stock airbox and the hks hi-flow filter, its definitely audible, but nowhere near what the ssqv normally sounds like vta, like most videos usually are. also, free-revving is super weak sounding compared to actual driving and putting the engine under a real load. i'll see if i can convince the gf to record me driving down the street tomorrow, lol.

Nice! That's how I plan on setting mine up.
Stock airbox with HKS filter and recirc bov. I'm still debating on whether or not to use the bov recirc or not... even tho I already ordered the recirc fittings...
No one really put a video up to see how the recirculated SSQV really sounds like...
Hopefully you can put a video up before I get to go home and install the bov...

how it sounds recirc or not shouldnt have anything to do with the decision TO RUN IT RECIRC.

If you dont you are hurting performance and it becomes a negative modification that could cause issues later on.

Well some people like the sound of their cars... For me it's as important as how my gf moans while performing... Sound has nothing to do with how well she performs but it still makes me go woah!!!!!!
I like the moaning of my cars to be able to reach my ears and please me even tho it has nothing to do with how it performs

I don't know if that makes me a ricer... but I do care about my car and wouldn't do anything to hurt the performance. Hence the aftermarket bov recirc.

if you like the moaning, get a catback exhaust, a UR intake and tune, and run that BOV recirc, it will be just as loud, and wont hurt performance.

I plan on getting an UR catback with both the resonator and the mini muffler..
And I just got my HKS filter today and installed it. The stock bov is so much louder that Im pretty satisfied with the sound... I wonder how much louder it'll be after the hks bov...

I just installed my ssqv...
I have to say that it's too loud...
I was hoping that the sound was more subtle...
And when I'm just cruising, the fluttering sound sounds terrible imo.
Wonder if that's how it's supposed to sound.

I'm going to try the recirculation fittings tomorrow.
