High-Flow Cat With No O2 Plug... Help!!

The plug for my AMS high flow cat somehow managed to fall out while i was driving. Other than being really loud is it safe to drive the car whith such a big hole in the exhaust? I already have a new one on order and AMS is great to work with! I just need to know if there is any chance of damage occuring to my car till the new one can come in??

just go to an auto part store.

there is nothing special about the plug, just a 14mm plug.

no need to wait for one to be shipped to you.

It shouldn't be a problem to drive like that, though you might get a CEL. I wouldn't worry about it.

Final chapter,

I did go to Advanced Auto and Auto Zone and both stores had nothing that could help me. Spark plugs are way too small and no one had anything that would even fit. However, my plug came in the mail today so all is good again in my world.

The install was easy. I did it in my garage with the car on ramps. I think the factory bolts were a 19mm and a 17mm wrench and the new hardware that came with the high-flow were 14mm for both the bolt and nut. If you have thoes wreches and a little strength to get the factory bolts unstuck you will be fine. Also you will have to have some zip ties or tie string to tie back the harness since they relocated the sensor position.

ps. I had to kick my wrench to break the torq on the factory bolts...
