Explain to me why

A replacement after market UICP supposedly makes more noise?

Not that I will notice as my UR catback growls and soon to have HKS drop in filter would IMO drown out any measureable noise from the UR UICP I will be soon installing.

You would think the flexible stock UICP would be more noisy?

Just asking since I am new to the world of intercooled turbo.

it would have alot to do with the resonating noise being amplified by the aluminum, or so would be my guess.

I remember reading in one of the post that the fiber has a dampening effect. Aluminum bounces the sound around and amplifies the sound

Not to mention that it should be flowing more air and make the turbo spool up a little more noticeable.

The aluminum is thinner than the stock rubber pipe, and rubber is also a better insulator of sound.
