I will say I love the sound of the turbo spooling with my intake, the IX metal BPV is plenty loud for me as well. The only time you really hear it is after you let off in a higher gear anyways. I guess I could see spending the extra money on a BOV if we had a manual trans where it would actually be blowing off every time we shifted. But then again my buddy with an STI has an obnoxiously loud BOV and it gets very annoying very quick as it sounds like it's coming from under the dash.

I agree, but the intake makes power. The BOV just prevents you from any lost power.

Does anyone know the part number for the metal bpv on the Evo X? I'm still debating if I should get the Synapse BPV/BOV or the factory BPV of the Evo X.

Chances are your not gonna run more boost than the x bov can handle, but if you want some extra sound in there get the synapse with the 50/50 vent

Don't know the part # but this is it here http://www.oemmitsubishiparts.com/pa...08&catalogid=1

You can also browse the market place and the one from the IX MR for a lot cheaper.

Thanks, I'll check it out... I'm hoping that I'll be able to swap it out before I get to Atco Raceway this saturday . I'm hoping to do pretty well while using the GST base map w/boostpill tune.

BOV on cold pipe???

Me and a friend of mine that has a Evo IX were talking yesterday and are thinking of making a custom pipe and mount my bov directly to the lower intercooler right before the tb. Any ideas? His on his IX is mounted on his cold side so we figure in theory it should be the same.
