For the people who are looking for the BOV sound
http://www.***************/forums/sh...ad.php?p=57370
I just came across this and tried it. So far no problems. I know, I know it's a total ricer and cheap mod but it sounds so much better than the SSQV I had in my car and it doesn't flutter at all. If anyone wants that louder woooosh sound give it a try.
I'll probably get flamed for this...

BOV question new guy
Hey guys,
Trying to figure out BOVs. I think that the RAs come stock with a recirc bov?maybe kinda? I am wondering if anyone has changed out their bov and used anything other than a recirc, if thats even a name. Let me know what you got and how you like it. I am not really looking for a huge whoosh sound, also not sure if a recirc bov, again if thats even a term, would do any damage to turbo/engine. Thoughts please

Yes our cars come with a recirculating setup. You can do a vent to atmosphere setup (for the "ping" sound) but it's not great performance wise especially if the car is not tuned for it. If you want to hear the turbo just get a short ram intake and you'll get a nice woooooosh sound. =)

To get the most out of your transmission shifting, you will want a re-circ. BOV
I upgraded to a Forge and it looks awsome! The small stock boost sense line doesnt fit to well though. I just bought a foot of 3/16" fuel hose (I believe stock is 1/4") and I shoved it on, it's so tight you dont even need hose clamps.

I have an agency power one coming this week that's adjustable. full vent, 50/50, or recirculating. I'm going to run it recirculating since it'll work the best. Sound isn't really worth it IMO.
