MAF check engine light

Anyone have any issues, with their tune and mods? I have UR intake, UR intercooler with pipes, full turbo back exhaust, and tuned...this issue has been more consistant lately, where the check engine light goes on, and its the MAF sensor, Went to the dealership and they said that the short ram intake can cause this to happen, and they said that any short ram intakes aren't good for the SST transmission.

So they said to replace it back to stock and if it comes on again , they will warranty my MAF sensor, so I did that but it keeps coming on even more, took it back to the dealer, and they diagnosed it..It wasn't the MAF sensor, they diagnosed it more, and they even blocked the Intercooler with a cardboard, in case its sucking in too much air, esp. with the cold weather in Canada here it could set off a code..The dealer said that even if it reads 1 degree off it will trip a code..but it wasn't my intercooler either, the time that it trips the code is when the cars above 3500 RPM, and starts to build up boost..

In the end they werent quite sure, but they said that it could be the tune, or worse case scenerio it could be the ECU, which may need to be replaced!

he was trying to get a hold of my tuner bc they deal with him, but was unable to do so...

Wondering if anyone knows any info, or had this issue

Thanks

What code is it throwing? If it is p1235 it is probably airflow limit tables in your tune.

Sounds like the issue might be with your tune. Might want to check with your tuner.

Could be the Air Temp Sensor, usuallly they work in harmony with the MAF. Some times you call tell if this is the case when you start to get lower gass mileage and lose power becasue the engine will run richer. Did the dedaler check all the sensors? or the Air/Fuel ratio?

This may help. I think the P1870 code your getting has to do with tranny. Are you having transmission problems?

Never had any tranny issues, but once it goes into limp mode, very hard shifting, but no issues with tranny

I had these same codes at one point. It is still related to the limit tables. Change those or alter your tune. I'm sure the tranny is fine
