To avoid any big torque spikes he said we would taper the boost in and focus on more higher rpm HP. I'll be honest I don't know much about tuning but I hear AMS knows their stuff
AMS has a good reputation. You're in good hands.

Don't forget to post the dyno charts once you're done!

Will do, unfortunetly I won't have a baseline since they are only open M-F I can't really afford to take off work and class to make a separate trip . I think they should have a pretty good idea though of what the ralliarts are putting down stock on their dyno.

sorry first time tuning a car at all, and i have a lot of questions but im only letting a lil out at a time lol
http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/parts.php is where I got mine. Just punch in the part numbers. I would highly suggest you get most of the stuff such as the manifold, turbo, and other pieces from someone used. You will save a ton of $$$$. I ended up only needing to order the turbo to manifold gasket, and the couple brackets in the optional list from them. Everything else I either bought aftermarket or from someone here on the boards. I do have an X O2 housing, and if the guy ever sent it out a downpipe as well if you are interested.

Stock Ralliarts put down around 192-198 on our dyno. Keiffer87's car with the X turbo and supporting mods, with a safe reliable tune should put down around 280-290 repeatable real world hp. This will make the car FUN and keep his trans around a while.

I was wondering if I can use the stock air intake with the x turbo. What kind of mods need to be done to make it work?

Did you guys end up having trouble with the shop ralliart that put down 305/309 with X turbo? I was hoping to break 300whp with my setup but of course keeping the trans around is my main priority.

I think you could but you would need to use a 3" coupler to the turbo.

I'll have to get some pics up soon. Wednesday I am actually starting the install. I will try to get a few pics here and there but I want to finish it up asap so pictures won't be my main priority.

I moved the battery to the trunk yesterday. Going to order up a sealed Kinetik battery tomorrow, my buddy owns a remote start/stereo shop so I can get them at cost. I do all my car work up there, $80k+ worth of snap on tools and a lift make working on the car much more enjoyable.

Can someone confirm this, because I asked someone this question before and he said he used PVC pipes it make it work.

If it can be made to fit a stock airbox, then I can do it for sure.

Picked up my UICP and Intake from my buddy today. I think they turned out awesome. I'll have to get some better pictures than just my iphone but you get the idea. The pictures really don't do them justice. Tomorrow afternoon will be the big install day. Hope all goes nice and easy
