Part of the problem with first-year models combined with new tech...
VW had a rash of catastrophic DSG failures that took a couple of years to surface (resulting in the 10 year warranty on the transmission now)
I liken me buying cars with twin clutch gearboxes to how I bought one of the first p4's that used rambus RAM lol...

In Australia you wouldnt consider second hand they give us 5/10 year warranty form mitsubishi 130000/150000 and 5 year full road sise assits. With a deal like that why buy secondhand. Unless its very early on inito the warranty

So, what did we learn today?
1). There is a difference between the Ralliart transmission and the MR transmission. Just because one can hold X amount of power does not mean that the other can. PERIOD.
2). If you want to upgrade your car, which I am guessing that you all do, UPGRADE THE TRANSMISSION. There are many aftermarket coolers out there. That should help with the smaller twin-clutch disks. Also, if you plan to upgrade the turbocharger, before you buy the FP-Red, you should perhaps consider the SSP clutch-packs. Personally, if I decide to upgrade the stock turbo to the EVO X stock turbo, I am going to look into upgrading the transmission. These things sound like ticking time bombs.
If you don't want to become a statistic, don't be a guinea pig. I would be willing to bet that a year from now, someone will have made sense of this whole debacle. I wouldn't be surprised to see an all-in-one transmission upgrade come out eventually.

Not quite that but do get some 4-5 second delays before reverse kicks in
