I dont think that is the one...
GeTrag actually doesnt advertise ours, the closest thing is a FWD transmission rated around 346

Don't forget that would also be 332 ft-lbs of torque as the transmission sees it (not at the wheels) and that's a maximum. I wouldn't want to run something at it's max for a long period of time.

By ECU, I think you mean TCU... and I don't think you can just buy a TCU. You'd probably have to buy one off of a salvaged MR. I also believe the clutch disks are different, though I have no proof of that. It just seems that way because of the early low hp failures the Ralliarts seem to be having.

That's almost a 3ft long longitudinal transaxle tranny...

that's a manual transmission. MTL = manual

Manual Transmissions (MTs)
Automated manual transmissions (AMTs)
GETRAG Powershift® Dual clutch transmissions (DCTs)
Hybrid transmissions (HDTs)

I'm guessing ours would have DCL/DCT in the part #. Getrag only lists 1 dual clutch transmission for AWD cars and its rated for 750nm torque lol. somebody do a swap!

if you mean non-modified? then yes, we had one in our shop with absolutely zero mods (i sorta know the guy, and he's the type to brag about what he's got, but he didnt have anything on this car yet) and very low miles to boot, so it is possible. still unable to determine a direct cause for this whole problem. its weird really.

To counter that though, everything has failures. So the question is how often does it happen.

So ya the initial thread by Jazket was about my car. Mitsu approved replacing my tranny but i had to lose gears 1, 3, and 5...then lose 2, 4, and 6...and finally when I lost Reverse...I guess they saw it needed to be done. Tranny was ordered Tuesday. It took me going to 2 service shops to get this approved as well...the first one wanted nothing to do with me because of my mods. UICP/FMIC have nothing to do with a tranny going out and if i wanted to I could have pressed them about it but, it wasn't worth the hassle when I still had another service shop near by to go to first. I'll keep you all posted on the situation.
