Don't forget that AMS had issues with their previous Ralliart, with the FP Green they experienced clutch slippage.
We haven't seen the long term effects of forcing the car to effectively clamp stronger so I'd hold off on calling that a solution.

Do you have a link to that? I'd like to know dates, because there has been many advances in SST programming since it came out. I also would find it interesting if it had the same power the MRs are putting out and had the proper programming and still slipped. That would be very telling that the internals are different.

Your Post

That is very dissapointing, the idea of the Twin Clutch was good, but I think you will never get the reliability of a standard tranny. I think Getrag made the new Tranny for the Evo X MR anyway of contacting them directly and asking them questions? I believe, most failures are heat related, so are you guys getting any warning? "Overheating" on the LCD or anything? or just Bam, nothing works? If it just "goes out" then it could be a ECU problem and not a mechanical one. Hate to say it, but thats why you never by a first year anything. In this car, first or second year anything. haha. Give props to for the effort though. Hope your warranty stuff goes better than with the 8/9's. Geeze.

wow at this:

Torque is measured as an estimation at the crank. It was making around 300 ft lbs, maybe a little more.

Getrag rates the Ralliart SST's torque limit lower than the Evo's. I'm not sure why, but it would appear that it's true due to the fact that our Ralliart SST has seemed to meet its match at a power level lower than an Evo SST would have.
That is VERY VERY interesting.

I wouldn't say never... but it definitely needs some years under it's belt to push it to reliability.

From reading the whole post.. I think they are saying that we're going to have this problem sooner or later. It's just that it's happening way prematurely than it should.

have you guys ever stop and put the car in reverse then while letting go to gas it the car will move forward first then gas back. I am on a slant, but the slant isn't really steep. Also the car feels like it moves forward a feet or so

i had my ralliart for 2 DAYS before i had to get it replaced. let me repeat. 2 DAYS!!!!

on the way to the dealership, it died 11 times, and the dealership is maybe 30 min away. It honestly felt like someone just learning how to drive manual on the take offs, it would bounce and immediately die. they took out my transmission and replaced it with a new one. It took two weeks after that to get the car back. longest two weeks of my life.

Rides perfect now tho, However, i wish i read this before i bought the evo x turbo
