Turbo getting installed right now.

Found out I have a SST trans leak at only 4,000 miles. Looks like from the plastic oil filter housing...

Hey Bryan, how bad is the leak?

The reason why I asked is because 5 days ago, I took my RA to the dealer to get a SST trans oil change.

After the change, everything was fine until the next day when I went to work in the morning (6 am), I WOT on several occasions before I got to the parking lot.

I noticed that there was some oil on the ground, I looked under the car, and there was oil leaking. It was dripping every 10 seconds...

So I called the dealership right at 8 am when they opened, and they told me to bring it back right away, so I did.

The mech looked at it and they said that everything was fine...

His story was, when he was changing the oil, they had to use this machine to suck out the oil first, and then pump it back in.

During the pumping session, the tube snapped, and oil was spraying all over the place. So he said he tried to clean most of it, but he must of missed one of the panels and it pocketed some of the oil.

He assured me that he checked everything several times to make sure all the screws were tight etc...

So i told him that I will test drive it again, and if it leaks, I will bring it back right away and he said yes please do so.

So i test drove it around, WOT and what not, checked, no leak...

So i went back to work. Parked the car, no leak...

When i got off work, I checked again, there was like 3 drips on the ground... I figure its probably some left overs from the panel...

So for the next couple of days, i noticed that there was like 1 to 2 drips...

Until today, I dont see any drips anymore. This morning none, this afternoon, none, just got home now and checked, none...

So i'm just wondering if I'm paranoid or there is some sort of small leakage I should be ware of..

Well that turbo is the BBX lite so the wheels are bigger but the housing is the same as the X turbo.

Huge difference in turbo size. I can not wait to see the numbers the bbx puts down! Once I've had enough of this puny little snail, I will be calling you!

Ok bad news first.

Look like I have a pretty good boost leak as the car is running funky rich fueling. I'm kicking myself for not boost leak testing the car after install.

I'm tired and it's late so I'm calling it a day. I'll try to boost leak test the car tomorrow.

Good news:

Even with it not 100% and only a couple tuning pulls, it's gained 90whp at 7000 rpm so far.
