Ya baby! Late? It's only like 8pm there? Lol I love your attitude with this car, just like mine with my beaterX: fuuuuk it!

Looking forward to dyno plots and impressions!

Mini battery, you can see it laying on it's side under the filter in the photo I posted.

The intake is a AEM but I currently can't fit the AEM airbox in the car as the battery is in the way. I'm going to get a bracket made so I can put it off to the side. I need to get the AEM box installed because currently the intake is too loud for me and the open filter doesn't follow the stealth theme of this build.

You guys can do this without buying a new muffler or sending it in. All they are doing is taking the baffles out of the muffler and letting it free flow for the most part.

Then find a shop to weld it all back together again.

I don't really care for it the modification i rather get an aftermarket catback and it seems they are workin on one. I jus wanted to offer a suggestion to Bryan since he want to keep the car as close to stock as possible.

when does the BBX Lite start to build boost, and when does it hit peak boost? what's the powerband like?

i only see the BBX turbo on the CBRD site, is the bbx lite like the bbk lite where only the compressor is changed?

what i'd be looking for ideally is quickest spool up and a powerband that doesn't die off like the stocker.

Ok another update. Had some time to sort the car and tune it a bit today.

The BBX Lite spools great! I am very impressed with the spool but even more impressive is the power output it's making so far with the mods on the car, the stock catback and 91 octane.

I'll post the charts and data over the next couple days but the power data points are:

+ 120 whp gains at 7400 rpm!

+ 95 whp peak to peak gains

24.5 psi

The stock catback is restricting the airflow of this turbo a bit as I was having some issue tuning out some dips in boost and power but so far I am VERY impressed with this turbo and the RA!

Wow! This is awesome. I am liking these results. You are definitely going to end up convincing me that I should be doing this as well!

Please update when you can!

Ok so here is where the car sits with the CBRD BBX lite, so far, on 91 octane.

Mods:

CBRD FMIC
CBRD BBX Lite stock appearing turbo
Evo 10 OEM spark plugs (RA uses 7 heat range, Evo 10 uses 8)
Evo 10 Exhaust manifold
Specialty-Z 02-Downpipe combo
Ultimate racing test pipe with mini muffler
Stock catback and mid pipe
Injector Dynamic 1000cc injectors
Evo 10 Intercooler pipes
Evo 9 metal BOV
GM 3-port boost solenoid
AEM intake
Tuned using EcuFlash and Tephra V1 map switch + knock light rom upgrade + PSI-target boost control
91 octane

+ 120 whp gains at 7400 rpm!

+ 95 whp peak to peak gains

24.5 psi

You can see the dip in the mid range that I couldn't dial out yet. I think there is some airflow issues there with the stock catback and this turbo. You can see the associated dip in boost in this chart:

The boost plot is tuned with the strategy that I didn't want to bring the boost on as a spike or hit hard because of the SST trans. I did do a couple pulls where I brought it on pretty strong and it would hit target 24.5 psi at around 3900 rpm, in 3rd gear, which is only about 300rpm later then the stock RA turbo.

MAF grams/sec plotted as well. At 24.5 PSI it peaked at 365.7 which is 48.37 lb/min. The stock RA turbo peaks about 33 lb/min and the stock Evo 10 turbo around 41 lb/min for reference.

So far very impressed with this turbo. It's making great power with the limited amount of mods on this car and the stock catback!

Nice. Only if you could run 93oct over there but impressive none the less. E85 would be insane. Keep us informed.

Looks wicked man, I am hopefully getting mine tuned this week or next, should be posting some sick numbers then. I might start my own thread if I keep modding mine.
