I have a brand new Thule rack sitting in my office waiting to go on, just waiting for one last part (the rack to roof mounts)

EDIT: Which was just delivered by UPS. Woot.

I had the same issue, so I went with the 225/40/18's. They always seem to be in stock and they are only a few dollars more per tire. The diameter is a bit smaller, but the most your speedo will be off on the highway is about 1.5mph.

I'm so jealous of you Razorlab. I wish I was in the snow right now.

Have you put the Thule rack on yet? I also just got mine and am wondering how it fit on your car.

Not yet, but it will be different then your 09 Sedan since I have the Sportback with the integrated bolt in mounting on the roof.

I test fit mine a couple weeks ago, it fits really nice and had a very integrated look on the SB. Too bad the sedans have to use the clamps.

I wouldn't be jealous. Snow means salt + rocks... This leads to rock chip, and with our crappy paint this means a LOT of rock chip...

I ended up buying an old Nissan Altima to drive during winter and save my RA from rock chip, rust and being though on the engine (going from freezing temp to high temp every day is though on your engine).

California doesn't salt the roads thanks to hippie tree huggers. We use sand here. Not much better for the paint but at least it helps with the rust.

Thats a great winter pic. i love those black wheels with the white. I have some pirelli pzero nero tires. They are supposed to be rated ultra high performance all season tires,w rated. Have any of you guys tried these in the snow? It will be interesting to see how they do.

Made a quick video today to show just how quiet this car really is at WOT.

Quick pull to under 60mph
