lol, yeah, go with the thule rack if its cheaper, considering it is damned near IDENTICAL to the mitsu one. other than the badging, i just installed a rack set on an outty-sport and i can't see a visible difference between the two based on the pics here

btw, I found a flaw with the system. It doesn't actually fit my board with bindings like it should. I'm 5'10 and don't use a really wide stance but the bindings still don't fit between the racks.

In order to use the rack I had to slide the board back and put the back binding behind the rack. Then I can't open the hatch without the board hitting it.

I think mitsu put the mounting points too close together...

Oh well...

Almost 20 ft from these last two storms!

Can you rotate the clamps on the mounts a little? looks like you need just a hair more room, so maybe rotate the front one forward a little and the rear one back a little and maybe you can get another inch or so to fit your binding in there ?????

That is friggin amazing! Look at all the snow on the house! How do they reinforce their roofs to withstand the weight?!?!?

Great photos, though!

Insane! Have you done anything to the SST to help it with the added power? Or is still stock?

And if you don't mind sharing, what's your estimate on the total cost of parts so far (I imagine you do all the labor / tuning / etc yourself :P)?

Still stock clutches, stock fluid (changed once), stock cooler.

How are you liking the stock brakes compared to an evo? I'm guessing they're not enough if you're upgrading...

Yea the brakes are the achillies of the sportback for sure. Smaller brakes then my Evo 8 but weighs 300lbs+ more.

I still run stock brake pads F/R though and around town the brakes are fine, even with some spirited driving and hauling it down once from the occasional on-ramp blast but any heavy usage in a row (back road spirited driving) they start going down hill quickly.

After much consideration and deliberation, I think I may end up going this route w/ my car, instead of the car pc thing. Do you know if EvoScan will run on WindowsCE? I've been checking prices on 7" tablets w/ Windows on them, and they're all like double the cost of a comparable device running Android.

I know there's a EvoScan Android app in development, but updates on its progress seems to be sparse...

Never mind, I refined my Google-Fu and found the EvoScan for Android progress thread...
