Was hunting around for a AWD turbo hatchback car, more or less hunting for a WRX until I read this thread. I didn't know the Ralliart was this impressive I havn't seen anyone make this kind of power from a WRX let alone with 2L engine, you have without a doubt swayed my shopping around. I know literally nothing about lancers and didn't know this to be possible.

I'm going to check one out ASAP hope I like this type of transmission. Maybe i'll join you on this forum soon with a similar build

Ridiculous that this is with stock catback as well.

Been a over a month since you chatted us up about your car. Any updates?

BTW, wanted to send this TTT. Still like the look of the white RA. Something about a black car (mine) in 100+ heat doesn't add up correctly.

I know for a while there you were probably enjoying the sleeper effect of your RA using stock catback. You found something just as quiet? I've pondered an aftermarket catback but I'm in no rush. You've proven the stock catback is a viable long-term performer up to 400hp.

Ahhh comon man.. ha ha.. It only takes 20 minutes start to finish including swapping over hangers.. I know cause I put my stocker back on every now and then when I get tired of the loud

Pics and plots....... If it's too loud, you can drop one of these into the midpipe (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCI-3DI03R/) I dropped one into mine to kill a bit of noise.... would love to see it dyno tested for losses.

Catback is on the car!

I decided to try out the Magnaflow in hopes it would be the quietest of the bunch. Plus I got a great deal on it from Mike@RRE. Thanks Mike!

I wasn't too crazy about the side inlet on the muffler which causes the odd bend of the piping off to one side, but in the end, you can't see it too much unless you squat down or sit down behind the car. The slip fittings were also not my first choice but I think they will be fine. At some point I will also take out the neck-down right where it comes off the cat.

What I do love is the OEM style tips. They are the perfect size, not too big, and fit in the Sportback exhaust bumper cutouts perfectly.

I've only driven it for abour 20mins so far but it's actually much quieter then I imagined it would be. I think the 'mini-muffler' test pipe I have is helping this. I have a feeling I might still put a small resonator in the midpipe to mellow it out a little bit when on throttle.

So far so good. Here are the photos. Pardon the dirty car.

I have the same exhaust and its quite loud with the HFC. I may have to look into getting a resonator and mini-muffler to help reduce the noise.

Don't get me wrong, it's louder then the stock catback, that's for sure, but it's much quieter then almost every single other aftermarket catback I have heard on Evo 10's that I have tuned.

It's interesting, it's actually louder on decel then around town accel, and gets super quiet at idle.

With more then 50% throttle it gets "loud", but again not as loud as most other aftermarket catbacks.

Nice one Bryan, looks clean. The exhaust that is, not the car
