Nice, now strap it back on the rollers and see what the BBX will do without the exhaust freed up

With more then 50% throttle it gets "loud", but again not as loud as most other aftermarket catbacks.

Nice! i got the same CBE! I like it. I didn't want a loud exhaust as well

After working in the exhaust for about 6000kms now, the exhaust got a lot louder. It was quiet at first.

it drones on the highway but not as loud as the UR would.

I had a couple of problems with it though:
1. Exhaust leak in the connection at the axle
2. exhaust leak at the res connection.

Nice choice I have the same one too. I can't keep the tips clean to save my life. I actually sound deadened my entire trunk so what ever decel noise it had is not noticealble anymore.

You have to make sure you tighten up the connection once you drove it for some time. Also, when mounting it, it is good to us some exhaust gasket (liquid one) to make sure it seals properly.

Nice Bryan, I have the same exhaust. I find it quieter than I had expected, especially given the fact that I have a HFC. It's also mellowed out since new.

Btw, love the tune. Thanks for all your help!

Forgot to mention one interesting thing, due to a number of 4th gear pulls during tuning, my exhaust is now completely blue from the HFC all the way to the muffler. I love it

The BBX you have on there. Just curious what kind of increase you will pick up from a turbo that can flow a whole lot more than stock, once back pressure is reduced (the 3" CBE).
By "that snail" I was referring to not having a stock turbo (which I believe gets what, 10-15 whp from the CBE).

I'll try to get it on the dyno here soon. I am curious too.

A bunch of people on the interweb have not believed some of the E85 mileage numbers I have been posting over the last year in my RA Sportback.

Most state that they get low teens in mixed driving and I always reply that is horrible and that I get 16-17 in mixed driving and 19-20 on hwy. Some people have been crying foul about my statements and that it is "unbelievable".

Well, it looks like putting the new catback on has given me even better mileage, which makes sense since the car flows better.

I decided to take some photo proof of my mixed driving mileage so no crying foul is allowed now. So here we go. Looks like I gained about 1-2mpg.

18.31mpg, mixed driving.

Mixed meaning I used the loud pedal more then once or twice. aka, still had fun with the car.

Proof is in the pudding:

Damn, you're doing better than me! I recently moved closer to work, so I don't have to drive as far; BUT it's mostly all city driving now, and I get ~17mpg. Before I was getting ~23 (mostly highway miles).

You are on normal gas though right? This is on E85.

After Bryan's tune (91oct), I'm averaging 23 mpg combo city/hwy, and 26 hwy. This is with careful driving, I get around 18 with more "spirited" driving
