Well, it looks like putting the new catback on has given me even better mileage, which makes sense since the car flows better.

I decided to take some photo proof of my mixed driving mileage so no crying foul is allowed now. So here we go. Looks like I gained about 1-2mpg.

18.31mpg, mixed driving.

Mixed meaning I used the loud pedal more then once or twice. aka, still had fun with the car.

Proof is in the pudding:
LMAO the "loud pedal". I can't wait till I go E85 - I'm having a hard time finding a reason not to as time goes on. The minute the battery bracket is done, I'm dropping in my X turbo and going E85

any other plans for the sportback now? (after BBK is on) Seems like you were aiming for a DD rocket, nothing too serious...can't think of anything else you would add to it now

That's pretty impressive, IMO. That's only a couple of MPG behind me on regular dino fuel. If I drive like you described, I come in around 19-20mpg (for the tank average). If I'm careful, it goes up significantly (I can eek out an average of 25mpg round trip to work).

I don't think most people realize/know that you burn more fuel per HP on E85 than you do on dino fuel. And the people that do know this may were probably finding difficult to believe that "decent" fuel economy can be achieved on it.

Either way, awesome job with your tune

Brakes look good, cat-back looks good, mileage looks good and $3.49 for E-85 That's a lot better than $4.05 here for super.

Slight update.

I haven't changed anything physical on the car since the bigger brake upgrade. However, I have been doing a ton of ECU testing and R&D.

I *finally* got this son-of-a-*itch to shift correctly at WOT, without rev-hang. This is a huge accomplishment for me as I was actually thinking of selling the car at one point it was frustrating me so much. Now I am having fun with the car again.

That's awesome news for a lot of the bigger turbo guys. I know Hotshot with the FP (Green?) was having issues with 1-2 and had to let off in order to upshift on time, I'm sure there are plenty of others with the same hangups. Great work, once again. Just wish I had the time and abilities for this kind of thing.

Keep up good work with ECU testing and R&D! I can imagine how frustrating it can be sometimes. But there are many people who are appreciate your good work and are counting on you with tunes.
I dont think im even going forward with my SST-car project without you...
So when you stop going forward with testings,i stop building and change to different car/change gearbox&whole driveline.

Bryan is an evil scientist and his RA is his very own diabolical creation. As such, he does not pay for tunes and does his own tuning on his car.

With that said...veddy nycee on the tune, Bryan!
