Same boat.

Minor horror story though regarding the reverse taking a long time to engage: was stopped in a parking lot and the guy in front of me decided to reverse abruptly without looking or checking his mirrors . Since I couldn't reverse (*blink R blink R blink R*), I had to get a new bumper cover paid for by his insurance. What a moron.

Well i am one that put other problems. It is doing great i almost put perfect however one day when i was sitting in a drive thru I went to pull forward a little and the car jerked forward and died like i was driving a manuel and didn't know how.
That has never happened since so other than that the trans has been perfect.

mine did that merging into 80kph traffic from a slow roll in second. i almost shat myself! luckily there was still room in the merge lane for me.

i have R issues as well. 5,XXX km's.

i'm not going to replace my transmission if its just the clutch packs dying. i'll order the SSP kit and upgrade turbos eventually anyway.

tranny started leaking around the 1k mile mark, got that fixed, reverse lag seems to be getting worse with colder weather and the ghost shift from 2nd to 3rd won't go away, with all that said still happy with the overall performance of it, for a manumatic transmission it performs pretty well

When yours did that going into the lane merge, did you find out what the problem was? If it is still under warranty will Mitsu replace the clutch packs if they are dying?

that was the fist and only time it ever did that. it throw any codes either.

Mitsubishi would cover a 100% stock car guaranteed. i played dodge the warranty denial bullet when i started modding my car. no dealership within 1000 miles of me will cover a modded car.

my car has more than 18k miles, and with following mods, sst runs fine. small leaks before on the bottom oil pan but re-torqued in dealer and no more leaks now.
