Ordering AMS parts

Hey guys I'm about to order the FMIC kit / boost pill / CAI intake / Small battery kit.

So my question is...I already have UR intake...was wondering should would I get better gains w/ AMS intake instead? If not then I can save me some money and not get the battery kit nor the intake.

Another question is I know a local tuner that will install the parts and tune it for me; I would love AMS to tune for me but they are definitely not in the area and I don't have another mean of transportation so sending in my ecu is out of the question. So was wondering if I can trust a local tuner to do it? They actually specialize in tuning evo's; I had called and they said they can do my RA as well. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of them but they're called evolutiondynmaics here in lewisville tx? Thanks for any feedback.

If you already have the UR intake just get your car tuned for that and use the money toward another upgrade. Im not sure about the gains between the UR and AMS but i'm sure if you get tuned for the UR you can gain some power

there is no benefit to the AMS intake at all over the UR intake when they are tuned.

if you are running it untuned, then you need to give your head a shake and do some research before you mod, cause clearly you havent a clue how.

Im referring to the fact that both intakes need a TUNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE to run properly, and running the UR without a tune is very dangerous.

As long as it's tuned for either of the intakes it should not matter. I love my ams intake And in august I am most likely going to be taking a trip up there for my stage 2 custom tune.

Yeah I'm going to get it tuned at end of this month. Would you guys trust local tuners to do your tuning? They specialized in EVO's and said he wouldn't have a prob doing mine; but I think I'm just being biased and want AMS to do mines :[

Well then, maybe you should start a thread in the Evo forums instead of the Ralliart forums to see if any of the Evo owners in your area have had good(or bad) experiences with any of the local tuning shops around where you live.
