Manual Shifting

Hey guys, I was just wondering if it was recommended to take your foot off the gas when shifting the Ralliart in manual mode. I've always shifted with my foot still on the gas, but today I was thinking that maybe it's hard on our allegedly "fragile" SST transmissions. So I was thinking that maybe I should take my foot off the gas just before shifting, kind of like the way you would do with a traditional stick shift/manual transmission vehicle. Anybody have any opinions/thoughts on this?

It's designed to have your foot on the gas. The SST is not as fragile as everyone thinks. The guys from SSP actually said it's a very well built unit.

No, stop trying to overthink it. The SST is not "fragile" drive it normally.

The whole point of the SST is that you can "gas down" shift. That's what makes this transmission so fun.

The only problem with the SST is that the clutch plates weren't designed to handle 300+ ft-lbs of torque reliably. This isn't a design flaw, its just factor of cost savings.

It will slip the clutch more if you let your foot off the gas so it is smoother. Just stomp it!

I don't think it's all on the clutch disks, I think a good part has to do with the TCU programing.
