Hold brake, floor gas, let off brake about 2 seconds later, or until the RPMS get close to 3000. It should leave before the slow down warning and get down pretty good.

umm... lol this is complete fail.

You can build boost if you do it slowly.

+1 for the Quick Step method. Takes a bit of practice but it works and I haven't had any troubles with slipping clutches or slow down warnings or anything like that.

you cant get the rpms that high in auto-mode, at least in my car it limits right around 2500-3k. you have to be in manual for the launch to get it up that high. then once you get off the line, throw the shifter back over into auto mode and let the computer do the thinking for the shifts. i didnt follow this procedure last time i went to the strip and ran terrible 60' times. just trying it out now, on the street, it feels like a much firmer launch and i'm looking forward to the opportunity to try it at the drag strip soon so I can post official comparison with time slips

I've been launching with the brake boost method...

- Line up at the tree
- Put her in neutral
- Shoot the RPM's to build vacuum
- Left foot on the brake
- Put back into drive
- Once the top light of the tree lights up I floor the gas (this allows the RPM's to climb to around 3000)
- On the 3rd yellow I let go of the brakes, and hold on.

Using this method I've been getting an average of 0.8 reaction.

My best time slip in my RA was 14.158 @ 98.03, 60' 2.088 but my reaction time was 1.280 on that one, lol. I'll take a look at the rest of my timeslips when I get home to see if I have any better 60 footers.

Edit:

Settings were Sport mode, auto, ASC off. I notice she shifts around 6500 in auto mode.

So you floor in Neutral and the car magicaly accelerates. Just a quick question when and at what stage do you put in back in gear.

Just to make it clear:
so from dead start you have this setting,
1.asc off
2.sport mode
3.neutral
revv the rpm to build vacuum,
revv till 3000 rpm the quickly hit the brake and shift to D!
and floor it!

coz I'm probably doing this at the traffic light once in a while.

I would not be doing anything related to reving the engine in N and dropping it into drive.
