EVO X Fuel Injectors?

Just wondering if there is a big difference between EVO X and RA fuel injectors? And second, if you upgrade to EVO X or After market Injectors is a tune required?

Some say that the injector size differs by a small amount. Others think that the injectors are the same. Either way, I don't think that it makes a big enough difference to make swapping them out cost effective.

First question: There seems to be some debate about the difference in size. As NFS said, even if there is a difference, it is nominal at best.

Second question: If you change either the turbo or the injectors, you most definitely need a tune, and most likely a custom tune.

I've read (cannot confirm) that they are the same. Mitsu stealership here says that they share the same part number...

^^^ This.

Most cars are tuned from the factory on the rich side. Especially in closed loop operation, when the moderate-WOT fuel maps are programmed on the safe side of the AFRs. Adding a larger injector (even by just a little bit) will make a rich tune even more rich.

Would aftermarket injectors meant for a X work on a RA also? If so, any modifications required? I am already planning on getting an AMS fuel rail and upgrading the fuel pump etc...
