Current Mods Are: Full Turbo-back Straight pipe UR Exhaust, Aluminum Injen UICP, EVOX BOV, Cobb Accessport Stage 2

Looking for an intercooler to end my performance mods for this summer so any info will be great, thanks in advance!

I'd consider getting a new LICP as well while you're replacing the FMIC.

As for AMS vs UR, they should be comparable, especially if you are running the stock turbo. Either should be more than enough for that. =)

the factory exo x fmic should be enough for our tiny little turbos.

For the price difference, I'm going with the factory Evo X FMIC... $150 CAD vs $649 USD. If one day I go for a larger turbo, I'll consider changing the FMIC again.

Mind you, the UR FMIC looks pretty nice. Perhaps I'm brand-whoring, but I'm slightly partial to the stencilled in "AMS" on the AMS ones... something about that to me just says "don't f*ck with this car".

AMS want's too much for their upper pipe. I'd say go with the AMS IC, and get the upper pipe from UR.

good idea.

if you really want to save a lot of money on your front mount, buy the ETS FMIC. there's plenty of options for it, and there's little chance you'll ever make the 700HP to max out their smallest core available. like all the other FMIC's, you'll need an EVO X upper pipe kit.

Yeah I would go with ETS. AMS seems to make good stuff, but why wouldnt you buy an intercooler from a company that makes only intercoolers?

I'm thinking of either getting the Evo X FMIC or ETS right now. Has anyone that has upgraded to the Evo X FMIC checked the air temp to see how efficiently it cools the air for the RA compared to the UR, AMS, or ETS FMIC?

i lent my tactrix cable to a friend, but when I get it back I'll run a few logs to see what I come up with, then I'll swap to the evo X FMIC I have, and run a few more logs. But can't promise that'll happen any time soon...
