hey so i understand the evoX turbo will work on our RA's but i have a buddy willing to just give me the turbo off his evoIX and i was wondering if that turbo will even work i tried to look into it but i dont know much about turbos but i understand that the IX turbo scrolls one direction and the X turbo scrolls another direction but does it matter or will this just plain out not work? or is it even worth it?

I'm sure you can make it work with a lot of $$. It would be cheaper and easier to just get a X turbo.

i think the evo IX would work because we have a single scroll turbo on our RA's

ports and configuration are totally different. Evo 8/9 are twin scroll as well.

if you're going to upgrade turbos why not spend the extra cash for a new, better one like the CBRD BBX turbo? i don't see a lot of people upgrading turbos settling for a 50-60whp gain.
