Newbie questions - Please be gentle...

So I am looking into a ralliart as a DD... I have an 03.5 M3 now and I don't have a warranty and while I love the car, the maintenance is expensive and If something were to break thats costly I'd be able to pay for it but rather annoyed.
I'd love an EVO MR but they're simply not inexpensive enough for me to consider yet.
I'd like a Ralliart but I have some questions... If you guys can answer them I'd be grateful.

1- Is there user-programmable tuning (ie I tune the car not a tuner) available? IF so, where from and how much?
2- I know the transmission on the MR and the Ralliart is the same and it doesn't support as much power as the manual transmissions - How much power are people making on these cars? Is 300-350awhp possible?
3- Are coilovers readily available?
4- How wide can you go with tires without issue?

Thanks guys!

So that implies there's a clutch upgrade, yes?
Where would I look for that

1) ~$25 for EvoScan and ~$170 for Tactrix OpenPort2.0 (+~$300 for a netbook, if you don't have a laptop already)
2) Yes, clutch and transmission upgrades are available. SSP Clutch pack ups power handling to ~400HP&torque. You'll want to add a transmission cooler to it, too.

AMS also has a transmission cooler. Also what you can do is get the GST map and tune it to your liking from there, its free. A member name Fourdoor did it.

1. you would need to upgrade the turbo to an evo x or better to see those kind of numbers.
2. if you do upgrade the turbo you just need to keep that torque under 300

If i were you i would get the clutches and tranny cooler before blowing it up. then look into either a fp red or fp black turbo upgrade. might as well go big if your upgrading your clutches otherwise stick with a evo x turbo and tune it to 300whp and 300wtq and you will be on the safe side.

Sounds like a plan, whats the power to be made on the stock turbo? ie what upgrades do people usually do on RAs?

I'm running at 277 HP & 294 TQ which is around the norm, i don't think there is too much more than that in the tiny turbo.

Common mods are catback exhaust, test pipe, drop in filter, intercooler piping, FMIC, boost pill, lowering springs (there are some coilovers; tein & BC), new tires (get those ASAP) and now the X turbo swap.

245/40/18s can fit with little to no rolling if you get the right offset wheel. I know I can get 255s on it and maybe even 265s with the right offset and massaging of the fenders.
