need help on deciding on these two Down pipes PLZ!!

first one is from Greddy http://www.autocityimports.com/2009-...pe-p-8347.html

the second one is from HKS http://www.autocityimports.com/2009-...pe-p-8346.html

They both are of the same Stainless Steel Mandrel Bent Piping and both are direct Bolt on upgrades. Just need some info on if anyone has had any problems or believe one is supior than the other, Thou leaning more towards the Greddy, cause of price differnece and the Name, and I not having anything yet in my vechicle from them, and always wanting something from them. I know these last to reasons dont really add up to much as to differ between the two, just want to know if Greddy would be a good choice, thou sure it would be

I don't have experience with either one, but the pic of the HKS one doesn't show an O2 bung which is odd. Not saying it doesn't have one, but most pics of DPs show it, like the Greddy pic.

The HKS though may just be a stock photo of a random DP since it has a different shape than the Greddy one and the UR one sitting in my hatch.

I would think both would be a good choice in DP's. I thought about replacing the stock DP but IMO its kinda to much labor and isn't a best bang for the buck type of mod. You will probably only see small gain from it. I am Not saying don't do it, but I really think that money could be spent else where for bigger gains. In the end I think a DP should be swapped when a bigger turbo goes in

I wouldn't waste your money on just a DP, espically with the stock turbo.

For the HKS one, the picture is wrong, if you look at the turbo-side flange, it's got three bolts and is a flat flange.

Installation is a snap if you have access to the following:
- An impact (with proper sized sockets)
- An extension for your impact (I think 16'' would be ok).
- A flex for you impact (this will help since the area is hard to reach).
- A car lift.
- Replacement bolt nuts (I always replace rusted bolts when I do this kind of work).

As for performance, as other mentionned, you probably won't see any significant gain if you don't upgrade your full exhaust.

I had the down pipe alone for a few hours of driving (before putting the test pipe) and all I noticed is that we hear the turbo spooling a lot more.

you might want to know both the HKS and Greddy downpipes are 2.5" diameter. UR and AMS are 3" diameter.

i have the HKS piece and it's beautiful. boost does come on sooner, and acceleration is smoother, but i also have the UR HFC and HKS mid pipe and muffler.

i chose this option because i didn't want it to sound too loud. i definitely wouldn't pay retail price on HKS parts though.
