I would say try the reset, if that does not work the next step would be the dealer.

If I were you, I would put the stock exhaust and stock UICP back on. That way they can't say that the modifications could have the caused the problems. I don't think they can blame your suspension on the tranny failure. So I wouldn't worry about the suspension. Others can chime in if I am too paranoid about the exhaust and UICP.

uicp, maybe they could start a mess with it, though they shouldnt. if you are able to switch it back easily it would be worth it to save some headache. catback and springs are no biggie, leave em on. hows your relationship with your dealer?

I just went through the same thing, the transmission is cooked. You'll need a new one. Go back to stock and take it in. All I had was the Boost Pill, GST Motorsports Base Tune, and Evo X FMIC/UICP/LICP. Read from the link below:

the fact that you are untuned is what will save your ***. our district rep just denied a claim on a car because of a tune. he called in a bunch of numbers he pulled from the ecu and they verified that it was recently flashed... also didnt help that the guy left a receipt for a tune and a bunch of parts installations in the car when he brought it in

So, did this guy in question flash back to the factory tune before he went into the dealership to get it checked out? Or are you saying that he went into the dealership while still running the custom dyno tune?

You can't flash it back and have everything be ok. They have a checksum value built into the flash that will tell the Mitsu computer that it has been flashed.

My buddy is a Mitsu tech and he told me the form Mitsu requires him to fill out on a tranny repair is nearly 2 pages long, and they check everything before authorizing the repair, including validating that the ECU has never been flashed.

Good luck.

So whatever you use to flash ( GST, Cobb, Tactrix) it will show on the computer? Is there a way to divert that?

^^ I'm hoping to **** that they don't pull that on me. They claimed it's already authorized, so we'll see. They've had my car for 5 days now, and I haven't received a phone call from them yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
