Problem or not?

Howdy all, let me know what you think of this. I was in sport mode and i took off from a stop with intention to go fast, yes i romped that **** to the floor!, anyways when i was in i wanna say 1st maybe 2nd at the top end of the gear i redlined for like 2 seconds, it did not want to shift and then when it did it obviously jerked the car a little bit which i figured is fine and normal, what im wondering about is why it did not shift right away, it actually bounced off the revv limiter approx 2 times before it shifted the car. Am i pulling more power then the stock tune can handle or is used to? Or am i doing something bad to my car that i am not aware of? Just dont want to harm my baby with this finnicky transmission. Since someone will ask mod list as follows

UR exhaust w/ high flow cat
injen cai
new much lighter wheels
about it atm lol seems kinda short though i have so much in mind to do still

Extra since someone will ask this as well, No i do not track my vehicle, i do not drive it hard, i mean i put it through its paces from time to time but never on a daily basis or enough for it to tell me to slow down.

Do you have a tune with those mods? If not, you should get one. Second, is this the first time you've floored it with your mods on the car and had this happen, or have you had those mods on the vehicle for a while and been flooring it without any problems until now. I noticed that the first day I added a new Evo X BOV and my Cosworth drop-in filter that the same thing was happening to me(bouncing off the Rev Limiter at WOT in 1st and 2nd gear Auto-Sport mode because car wasn't shifting in time). However, since then it's like the car's ECU/TCU has "learned" how to handle the changes I made and has since adjusted the shift timing such that it hasn't happened again.

Occasionally happens to me. Mentioned it at service and Mitsu said they couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Hey, I just noticed that you're here in Maryland also. When you're ready for a tune, let me know and I can put you touch with the owner of the shop who tuned my car. His shop is probably only about 30-45 minutes from where you live in Northeast, MD.

ya thanks slee, let me know cuz around here im a bit skeptical about letting someone touch my baby and harm it, i looked at a few places near but it just seems they may have not dealt with my type of car and im not risking the transmission to someones learning curve or something if ya know what i mean, still on the debat whether or not to try and install the turbo myself or do it professionally

Good way to find out how your going ot trash your trans is by getting on it when it is cold, you shouldnt boost until the trans is warmed up...

How do you know when the transmission is "warmed up"?

Here's a link to their website: http://www.agileauto.com/
Just ask for Hill McCarty(the owner) and tell him that Steve Lee(I'm the guy with the orange 2009 Ralliart that he tuned in February of this year) referred you to him.

my assumption is, if you don't have a transmission fluid temp gauge, you can assume the tranny is warmed up when the engine reaches full operating temperature. Though, I know that isn't 100% true because the engine will warm up at different rates depending on how much gas you have to give it from your starting point. For example, from my house it's ~1 mile to the freeway, and the engine temp is barely 1/4 normal operating temp by the time I reach it; it's all down hill and i barely touch the gas until i reach the on ramp. Once on the freeway, I hit full operating temp in about 1/4 mile.

Leave the transmission in Auto+Sport mode.

When it stops behaving like Normal mode, it's warmed up.

The car is basically telling you: Not now, I'm not ready. No means no...
