Possible SST Failure

If it happens intermittently like that your going to have to take it to the dealer when it actually has the lost gears. When I lost the even gears I brought the car to the dealership and they couldn't get it to happen again. I had to take the car back home. Then, the next time I lost the odd gears and just drive it straight to the dealer without turning off the car. I got my transmission replaced...after they tried some flashing and failed.
I have the TSB from the Fuel Pump relay printed out and will be calling the dealership today to get them to replace it.
How often is intermittently? Its only happened once so far. And the odds of me being able to take it to the dealership when it actually happens are slim (I go to and from work after the service department closes for the dealership).

Intermittently for me was it would happen once and I thought nothing of it. Then it happened again. Then, two weeks later, then once a week, then all the time.
I took that crap to the dealer because I couldn't get it tuned out thinking it was a software issue with the torque limits. If it happens and your totally stock I would bring it in ASAP when it happens again.

So i took the car to the Dealership last night, told em what happened. Also said the car had trouble starting every few weeks.
Got it back today and low and behold... "Nothing is wrong!" No error codes on the ECU/TCM...
So here is what they told me, "It may have occurred because you have 16inch wheels on your car and the car is programmed for 18inch tires." Im like... What? If that is your answer, why didn't it happen when you test drove it? All we can say is if it happens again, bring it in.
They did change the Fuel Relay chips... So that should solve all the starting issues.
So I will be keeping a strong eye on it, hoping it fails when the dealership is open so I can drive it to them while its failing.

I wasted many trips to the dealership and they could not find any codes either. I literally needed to have it happen and drive it there without turning off the car. Turning off the car would just allow me to use the gears again. Just be careful because when I lost the gears on the highway it was very scary.

Off Topic:
That video posted states the tranny can't be drained and re-filled, but the entire units needs to be replaced?!? That is a load of crap right, I mean there are How-To's on here to drain and replace the fluid....
Who in their right mind would make a tranny that CANT be drained and filled. Talk about running a company into the ground, "sorry basic maintenance is not an option"

That could be it too. If I recall, there have been a few different reasons for the RA to act up, including the MAF. I don't think that was the case for this one though, because he specifically said his car was stock. Water is a possibility, but it doesn't sound like he has an oil-based filter (e.g., K&N).

16" vs 18" wheels would make no difference, as long as all 4 wheels are the same outer diameter. If all 4 are the same, then no errors would be reported. If 1 or 2 wheels are not the same diameter, the car will throw a code related to "wheel RPM out of range". It will also turn off your AWC and everything goes into a free state. This happens of you use the donut spare. Also, your dash will flash a dozen errors, which cannot be missed.
Secondly, the 2/4/6 shifting has been identified as an issue with the MAF sensor on other machines. Either the sensor is bad, or getting a bad reading, such as if you have an aftermarket intake that is not properly designed.
