Just bought a Greddy down pipe whats the power gain?

what kind of power gain should I see before a tune, with the stock air box and filter, with upgraded BOV, and 3in exhaust, or what I really have now is a 3' turbo back since the downpipe I purchased is 3in and so is my piping with no cat to muffler.

no stock is about 2.25~2.3" internal measurement, hence why upgrading to 3" makes such a dramatic difference to our cars' ability to spool (reduction of back pressure).

its ok.. just install it then....

there was a huge debate awhile ago because AMS claim that a DP only will net no gain..
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...zero-gain.html

And this was on a Evo with larger turbo...

anyway... since u bought it already, just install it and call it a day =)

no worry ... the larger DP *should* help in spool instead of top end HP .. (to be confirmed)

you actually expect gains off a downpipe?? haha. oh boyy

Is it a short or long dp? Regardless gains will be minimal without tuning for the parts properly.

With a turbo back, and well... that basically all you have, 10-15 whp is what you should expect, provided the rest of the exhaust is all aftermarket and high flowing, including the muffler.
